Based in Lexington Kentucky, Puckett Electric is a solo music and video project by Scott Puckett. Puckett wrote and performed all the music on the album. The instruments were recorded and produced by Duncan Whitledge, with videography by Chris Bowers. During live performances, instrumental tracks and videos are played in the background accompanied by Puckett’s vocals and bass guitar.
The debut album, “Cowboy Death Songs” explores themes of unity, disunity, cooperation, and chaos. Set in the context of 19th-Century through modern America, the album evokes sound and visual cues from the the landscapes of the American Southeast and Southwest, performed with a mixture of both traditional and non-traditional rock and folk instrumentation.
